After the tragic death of my oldest son, and the tremendous damage it has done to me as a human being. I seek to re discover myself, by getting lost in a canvas, looking into the blank empty surface until an image starts to appear. I’ll spread a color or two across the surface with my palette knife, until the lines become more clear. Than I’ll spread more color across the painting, with the knife or a brush until the image the canvas holds becomes revealed for everyone to see. I like to think of it as canvas whispering. I find it helps me to pull myself out of the deep grief I am experiencing.
The process pics you post are really cool! I like doing that with my work too, and I'm always interested to see how other people go about things. Have a great day!
thank you, yeah it’s a warm up for me most of the time.
